LEARNING FROM REAL MARKET EXPERIENCEOur earlier South Africa pineapple trial showed that reaching a distant market takes more than a good harvest. Transport costs and the risk of fruit spoiling during a long journey can reduce the margin available to farmers and suppliers.
That experience shaped how we approach new markets: build strong local and hotel supply, plan fruit volumes with partner farmers, and assess transport, timing and handling before committing to longer routes.

Market access is part of our wider smallholder farmer empowerment model, alongside input access, agricultural finance facilitation, tools, education and farm business development.
Buyers and growers can begin conversations about crop types, required quality, availability, pricing expectations and logistics before any commitment is made.
Our integrated support model ↗Submit a proposal as a buyer, farmer group, input supplier or development partner. Commercial relationships are reviewed case by case; market access or transactions are not guaranteed.
Discuss opportunities across production, agricultural solutions and farmer development.
